COVID-19 Update:

We are now open and following the BC Dental Association guidelines.

WHO WE ARE

We’re everything you want in a dentist – and more

When you visit us, it’s less like a visit to the dentist and more like time spent with friends. We know the dentist isn’t everyone’s favourite place to be, but we try to make it one of yours by sharing a laugh and caring – not just about your dental health, but about you.

From the moment you walk in our door, everyone in the office takes the time to get to know you, and to ensure that you feel comfortable and happy.  And after you leave, if you’ve had any kind of treatment that might affect your comfort level, we check in with a phone call to see how you’re doing.  Some might call our approach to personal service “old-fashioned”, but it’s what we believe in – we treat our patients like we want to be treated.

And although we know that high quality care is the most important thing we can offer you, (everyone on our core team has more than 20 years of treatment experience), we believe that when we practice with your comfort and convenience in mind, everyone wins. That’s why we offer:

  • Coffee in the reception area
  • Massage chairs and TVs with headphones in treatment rooms
  • Moist towels to freshen up
  • Digital x-rays for high quality images and reduced exposure to radiation
  • Convenient, early morning appointments starting at 7 am
  • Children’s play area

When you’re with us, you have our full attention

At some dental clinics patients can feel like they’re on an assembly line, but when you’re in our dental chair, you’ve got our full attention. Dr. Grace is with you from the moment your hygienist is finished, until all of your questions are answered. We never forget that we’re not just treating teeth, we’re treating people.

We never recommend unnecessary treatments

When you need a treatment, we talk to you about all of your options and help you make the choice that’s right for you. We won’t upsell you or recommend procedures that you don’t need. We’re interested in your long-term oral health – not in using up your insurance plan. Our goal is to be your family’s trusted dentist for life.

We help you say goodbye to bad experiences

Dentistry has changed and it no longer needs to be a scary or uncomfortable experience. We work with gentle care, talk you through procedures, and never rush you through an appointment or a decision. We’re here to answer all of your questions and make you feel safe and respected. Our highly trained team keeps up-to-date with new techniques and technologies by regularly attending dental conferences, seminars, and study groups.

Our clinic has been serving Richmond families for more than 40 years

Our core dental team has been together for years, and many of our patients have grown up with us. We treat everyone from children to seniors with an awareness of the oral health needs specific to each life stage and age.

Parents are welcome to accompany their children into the treatment room to provide support, ask questions, and discuss procedures. We do everything we can to help our young patients feel safe and happy!

Meet Dr. Grace Mathew

“Our team is like one big, laughter-filled family and we enjoy welcoming patients into our clinic and making them part of it. The most rewarding part of my practice is when I can help someone feel better – when a patient comes into our clinic in pain, and leaves with a smile on their face.”

Dr. Grace Mathew has been practicing dentistry globally for a number of years prior to her move to Canada. She graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of British Columbia in 2008.

Following graduation, Dr. Mathew associated for 6 years with a Lower Mainland dental group before moving to her own current Richmond practice.

Prior to Canada, Grace practiced dentistry in Dubai and India, where she taught medical undergraduates, in addition to caring for patients and treating those in underserved rural areas.
